Meet our Family

This fall we took pictures of each of our kids and their families. I have shown the pictures in "Our Family" section. The pictures were taken in front of the Grandkid's Playhouse that Neil built for them several years ago. In the playhouse is a room that's a school house, another that is a jail house (it has "Wanted Posters" for all of them) and a livery stable. Each family is sitting in the old buggy/buckboard we keep in the livery stable.

Flood Damage

The church we attend, Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian church in Roslyn, WA, experienced serious flood damage on January 7, 2009, after water rushed down from the ridge. As of today the building, along with the parsonage, have been condemned and we are not allowed into the building until it can be stabalizied. Fortunately the church had flood insurance and we will have assistance in getting the church restored.

Neil & Joe Turner had to 'shore up' the main floor to prevent it from crumbling. You can see the destruction from the flood.

The next morning after the flood (this was before it was condemned), Neil & I, along with Beth Matanich, spent the morning going through the basement mud trying to retrieve anything that might be salvaged. We were a dirty mess when we finished.

Grandkids pajamas

This year for Christmas, Grandma made pajamas for all 8 grandkids. Here are pictures of 6 of them. Because of the weather, Ryan & Melissa Zdenek, and their 2 daughters, Payton & Gracie, were not been able to get together with us. As soon as they do, we'll add the picture of Payton & Gracie.
